Coaching: A Matter of Influence
Mathematics Institute
July 27-30, 2009
The institute flows according to the following storyline: Day 1 is focused on individual differences among adults, factors that can impede influence. Day 2 then focuses on skills that can bridge individual differences to create mutual understanding, the essence of positive influence. Day 3 introduces the notion that key tools for influence are embedded in coaching practice, such as student work, lesson plans, classroom observations, and so on. Day 4 extends the focus on individual skill building and emphasizes the importance of developing collaborations. (please note: agenda is subject to change)
