Managing Complexity in Mathematics Coaching

This paper focuses on one overarching goal of coaching: Influence; and a set of sub-goals that define the terrain of coaching influence. It also concentrates on two kinds of tools: first, a range of artifacts from coaching practice, including lesson plans, mathematics tasks, student work, records from classroom observations, and transcripts of student interactions; second, summaries of research in different areas of learning mathematics. Energizing Leadership
