Megan’s background is in program design and management, organization development, and leadership training program design and delivery. From 2003 to 2007, she served as EDC’s sole expatriate staff on a highly complex, multi-sectored program delivering health, HIV/AIDS prevention and primary education services throughout Uganda. While in the field she developed the program’s education strategy, hired education team staff, managed local and international consultants and developed and managed the program’s leadership training intervention. Returning to the US in early 2007, she worked as Project Director providing technical guidance and evaluating and closing out the program. Megan currently serves as the Organizational Development Specialist for EDC’s Domestic Education Leadership Team that is charged with Strategic Planning. She is also the Project Director for Ruwwad, a youth leadership program in Palestine. She brings much expertise from her work in International Education and a passion for and experience in leadership and organizational development. Megan grew up in the center of Boston and while she has traveled far since that time, she is no stranger to the challenges public schools and their leaders face. She is a product of the Boston Public Schools and currently serves as a parent representative on the Governing Council for the City of Boston for Early Childhood Education. Those who have worked with Megan describe her as creative, energetic, and a quick and strategic thinker.
